Its name means “Meeting of the Waters” because of the confluence of the Des Plaines  and Kankakee Rivers. Over the years. Recently, the community was named the second safest city in Illinois.

Commuting to work is made quick and easy with Interstates 80 and 55 both within a five minute drive.
